Lumin (1/1)
The next morning, Taehee and his team found out about what had happened to Lumin. JJ decided he was going to the hospital right away, so some of his co-workers went with him. Karam noticed that his brother was shaking, an indicator that he was obviously upset. Karam placed a hand on his arm. “I’ll go with you, hyung.” JJ smiled at him. “Thank you. That would be appreciated.” He grabbed an overnight bag, intending to stay with his friend. When they showed up at the hospital, JJ walked straight to the receptionist’s desk. “Excuse me, which room is Lee Seunghyun in? I’d like to see him, if I'm allowed to.” The woman smiled at him, looking at her computer. “He’s still in the I.C.U, but you may go in and see him. He’s in room 208. It’s on the second floor.” JJ flashed a quick smile. “Thank you, ma’am.” He hurried down the hall, his brothers and co-workers close behind. When they got to the room, JJ saw that his friend was not awake and he looked terrible, with bruises and ashen skin, he hadly looked alive. Walking over to him, JJ brushed his hair away from his face, touching it gently. Shaking his head, he looked over at Taehee. “I don’t know what he was doing, but…” He looked back at Lumin’s still form. “I just hope he’ll be okay.” Taehee smiled at him. “He should be okay, hyung. He got shot in the stomach, but if he’s made it this far, he should pull through. We’ll just have to keep an eye on him.” Yooseung looked at the officer’s clothing, which had been placed in a bag. His badge was also with them. “Well, whatever it was, he wasn’t in uniform. He just had his badge with him. Wasn’t his partner with him? We could see if we could speak with him and see what happened. I hear he wasn’t as badly injured, so he may be able to answer us.” JJ frowned, not seeming to be quite all there. “I’m not sure which room he’s in, but his name’s Choi Kan. You could go ask and try to get some information out of him. He’ll probably know what happened, unless he was too out of it. He’ll at least, be able to tell us who they were after. We’ll need to be careful when speaking to him, though, because he doesn’t know nearly as much as Lumin does about M.Pire. I don’t think he knows what we do.” Yooseung nodded. “Yeah. We’ll be careful around him.” They left and found out which room he was in. While they were on their way there, Kan woke up to see two…no…maybe four men standing in his room. Around all the drugs he was on, he was able to recognize one of them as his chief. The other three solidified into another officer. He shook his head to clear the fog out of his vision. It wasn’t helping much, with his drugged state. “Hi, chief.” The chief wasn’t smiling. “Hi, Officer Choi. I would like to ask you something, if you’re up to it.” He shook his head, this time directed at his superior and not his own mind. “Wait. How’s Lumin? Did he…is he alive?” The chief nodded, still stoic. “Yes, he’s alive. He’ll be okay. My issue right now
