The next morning when Lumin went to work, he was called into the office. His chief sat behind his desk, looking at a white, official looking paper. Lumin smiled at him. “Good morning, sir.” He felt as if he was walking on egg shells. The chief smiled at him grimly “Have a seat, Officer Lee.” He motioned to the chair across from him with the paper. Lumin sat down, smiling at him. “Yes, sir?” He question was met with silence for a long while. The chief finally looked up at him, handing him the paper. “Seunghyun, this came from the officials. It states that this flashlight that Officer Choi mentioned wasn’t a flashlight. What exactly was it? I don’t think you guys are telling the truth, and he left because of it…or I am assuming he did. He told us it was because he would be closer to his partner’s work. that I would understand. Just leaving because he was being investigated is more what I’m thinking he did.
